Signage design acts as guide for people

Signage designs are meant to act as guides for people and help them to find the required locations. These signs help people to locate the toilets, gates, transfers or even the coffee corner, traffic signs, and many other important symbols that they come across daily. Signage designs are created for any public building or for businesses while keeping in mind the visual surroundings where it is to placed. It should gel well with the background colors of walls and windows, daylight, environmental elements, etc.

While creating signage designs, the few things that are kept in mind are; good readability and legibility, color combinations among text and pictograms, font size, arrow designs to direct people towards a certain location, etc. Signage designs should always be designed using a grid to maintain balance and flexibility in the design.
